Workers at Wal-Mart face threats, propaganda, discrimination, intimidation, and even firings in retaliation for trying to form a union to improve their lives and working conditions.
Liz Cattaneo, American Rights at Work
A little over a month ago we shared some disturbing news. Wal-Mart had been intimidating its employees and telling them to vote against pro-worker candidates like Barack Obama who support the Employee Free Choice Act.
Over 34,000 people responded, signing our petition and demanding that the Federal Election Commission (FEC) investigate whether Wal-Mart broke the law.
Thanks to those efforts, they've opened a case file – but the FEC still hasn't said whether they'll investigate Wal-Mart or not!
Add your voice to our petition and demand an investigation!
Unfortunately for Wal-Mart employees, intimidation is par for the course at the world's largest employer. Workers at Wal-Mart face threats, propaganda, discrimination, intimidation, and even firings in retaliation for trying to form a union to improve their lives and working conditions.
We still have a chance to fight back, but we have to act fast! The closer we get to Election Day without a response, the more likely this outrage will get swept under the carpet, allowing corporations like Wal-Mart to continue getting away with violating workers' rights!
Don't let Wal-Mart get away with undermining democracy – sign the petition before it's too late!
